COMPANY HISTORY
Company Dalit is founded in the year 1905., although the firm with the same basic activity was active also in the end of the 19th century.
Founded as an machinery, the firm evolves into Machine factory, iron and brass mill, owned by Franjo Effenberger, then becomes property of family Gross in the period between two world wars. In the beggining of World War II it became the property of Nezavisna država Croatia (Independent State of Croatia), and after the end of the war it was taken over by the Federative Republics of Yugoslavia.
Needs of afterwar renewal of the country is the reason why in Dalit as early as in 1946. started production of machines for construction industry. Industry foundry was built in 1949. and the machine factory in 1956.
Between 1950-s i 1980-s Dalit is in the public property and employs near 2000 workers.
 In the beginning of the year 1980. Dalit carries out the program of technological renewal. Four new factories have been built; tool room with modeling, foundry, metal construction factory and factory of appropriated components and tools.
The war and independance of Republic Croatia is the new turning point in Dalit development.
By decision of government agency for restructurating in 1992. and by holding founding assembly and shareholder's assembly in 1993. Dalit with 437 shareholders becomes stock company majorly in private property.
 Today the Dalit CORP d.d. is composed of several daughter companies (Ltd.), where Dalit CORP Inc. is overall owner of these associated companies.
Every associated company in the corporation is characterised by it's own activity for making income for the corporation.

Dalit Corp Inc. consists of several daughter companies (Ltd.) where this corporation is major owner of associated companies.
Basicly, corporation is not acting as a contractor, it is only a guarantee for business transactions for associated companies.
Essential task of the corporation is activation of total industrial potentials and technological renewal of all capacities, for markets with high demands and with standards for quality and technology while constantly increasing income with improvement of business parameters.

Dalit Corp Ltd. is located in Zagreb and its duty is making offers towards foreign market. The department of marketing is also active here and its task is to promote the corporation, then to obtain first contact with buyers, finding and negotiating new business deals and all other marketing activities.

5. DALIT LJEVAONICA ŽELJEZA d.o.o.
Territory of foundry where moulding and casting is done manualy and also by machine for small and middle series
Ljevaonica željeza Ltd. produces castings in grey and nodular (ductile) iron and also special castings in small and middle series weight from 10 kg to 6000 kg of individual weight
Procedures of moulding are by hand and machine in:

. sand coated in furan resin
. laboratory (sharing with Dalit CT Ltd.)
. control (sharing with Dalit CT Ltd.)
6. DALIT-CT d.o.o.
Foundry Dalit CT d.o.o. produces castings in grey and nodular iron and also special by automatic moulding and casting on these lines:
- DISA 2013 MK4 - dimensions 600x480 mm, weight GG up to 30 kg per casting and GGG up to 25 kg per casting
- DISA 230 B - dimensions 650 x 525 mm, weight GG up to 30 kg per casting and GGG up to 25 kg per casting
- MULTOMATIK - dimensions 1000x800x400/400 mm, weight aprox. GG 150 kg and GGG 120 kg
Also does moulding in shells by Croning procedure - max dimensions 800x600x200 mm

Dalit-CT d.o.o. - Control
Everything that affects on the quality of final product, has to be controled and supplied from certified suppliers.
There are three steps in contol : admission, process and final.
Admission control: - control of model set
- control of incoming raw material
Contol is performed with the use of TIS (factory internal standards).
Process control: - parameters of regulated mould mixture , parameters of regulated quality of melted metal , temperatures during casting
- control of structure, hardness and mechanical abilities in metalographic laboratory and laboratory for mechanical testing
